Somernova Presentation from 7/9 Land Use & Planning Board Joint Hearing

On Tuesday, July 9, 2024, the Rafi team presented on the Somernova Innovation Overlay Sub-Area at the Somerville City Council Land Use & Planning Board joint hearing. Over 200 community members joined this virtual hearing to learn more about the project, many of whom spoke in support of the zoning during the public comment. We extend our gratitude to all those who joined this remote hearing; your feedback is instrumental to the success of Somernova's expansion. 

Over the next few weeks, the Somernova/Rafi team will be working in partnership with the Union Square Neighborhood Council on a Community Benefits Agreement (CBA) for the project. Our first meeting is Monday, July 22, 2024 at 6pm. We will be in touch with additional details as to a timeline for both agreements and ways in which you can stay involved.

Additionally, the Somernova/Rafi team is in active discussions with the Greater Boston Labor Council regarding a Project Labor Agreement (PLA) for the Somernova Campus Expansion project.
